Rules & Regulations pertaining to Club Nirvana at Hotel Yak
& Yeti are as follows:
1. Name
Club Nirvana at Hotel Yak & Yeti, herein referred to as “The
Club.”

3. Objectives
A. To provide and make available to members of
The Club and hotel guests fitness, health and recreational facilities
and to promote and encourage a greater degree of physical fitness
and well being.
B. To provide and maintain the premises and employ
staff to facilitate the attainment of the above objective.
4. Membership
A. Any person (s) will become a member of The Club
by paying the appropriate membership fee (s) only after the decision
of the membership selection committee. Membership will then be valid
for six months or one year on a date to date basis. All membership
fees are payable in advance that is non-transferable and all fee
(s) paid are non-refundable. The Club enrolls people on a six months
or on one-year basis only.
B. No person under the age of 18 years will be
allowed to become a member of the club. Children of family membership
are allowed only in the Swimming Pool & Tennis Court.
C. No persons under the age of 15 years will be
allowed to enter The Club’s fitness centre area.
D. Members will be required by the management
to deposit their membership card at The Club reception prior to
admission to the premises and to register upon leaving The Club,
the membership card will be returned to the member.
E. Management reserves the right to restrict entry
to or remove from the hotel’s premises any person (s) whose
character, appearance, manner or conduct is demonstrated to be unacceptable
to the management.
F. Management cannot be held liable for loss of
any valuables or other personal property left in the locker, pool,
tennis court and club premises.
G. For renewal of The Club membership a member
must re-apply for membership prior to the expiry date, by completing
an application form along with other formats. Upon acceptance by
the management the membership would then be renewed after paying
the advance semi-annual or annual subscription. Failure to renew
the membership on time may result in the automatic cancellation
of the membership held and the management reserves the right to
resell this membership to the first party on the waiting list.
H. Should a membership card be stolen or lost,
the member should immediately notify the management. a charge of
Rs. 500/- will be levied for issuing a duplicate card.
5. Termination of Membership
The Management shall have absolute discretion as to whether a person
shall become or remain a member of The Club, and shall have the
right to expel or terminate the membership of any member for any
reason which shall seem to the Management to be good and sufficient,
without any explanation being given.
6. Guests
A. Members / hotel resident are not allowed to
bring in any guest
B. The Club is private and only members may use
the facilities.
7. The Club has no credit facilities.
All expenses incurred must be settled before using the club facilities
The Management may suspend
from membership any member who takes undue advantage of membership
limits. No person who has been expelled from the club, or whose
membership has been terminated or whose application for membership
has been rejected, shall be re-introduced as guest.
8. Liability
The hotel will not be liable for any loss or damage to property
what-so-ever or any bodily injury (ies), death or illness of any
member and/or guest, how-so-ever caused sustained or incurred or
incurred arising out of or in any way connected with the use, whether
proper or otherwise, of any of the equipment and/or facilities,
whether defective or not of the club,
9. Hours of Operation
Fitness Center 7:00 am to 10:00 pm
Tennis Court 7:00 am to 9:00 pm
Swimming – Pool Summer 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Winter 8:30 am to 6:00 pm
10. Temporary Regulations
The hotel reserves the right to alter the operational times of opening
and closing of The Club facilities at its discretion. It further
reserves the right to close all or any facilities for any reasonable
period for reasons of re-building, re-organising or repair, for
which no compensation/ refund should be asked for or any dispute
raised.
Members are responsible for studying any notices displayed on The
Club notice board.
11. Lockers
Lockers are available for day use only. Members are requested to
return their locker keys at the club’s reception after use.
In case of loss of locker key, a charge of Rs. 500 will be levied
to replace the lock.
12. Dress Code and Hygiene
A. Members / hotels resident and other guests are
not permitted beyond the premises of the swimming pool in their
swimming attire.
B. For reasons of hygiene, all persons must take
a shower before using spa and swimming pool facilities.
C. Persons suffering from any diseases are not
permitted to use the club and pool facilities.
D. Gymnasium-appropriate attire (athletic/sports
clothing, sports and athletic footwear) must be worn in the gymnasium.
Members with incorrect attire and footwear / worn out aerobic shoes
will be asked to leave the gymnasium for reasons of safety. As a
matter of custom and etiquette, removal of t-shirt/upper is not
permitted on the court.
E. Tennis courts-players must wear proper tennis
attire preferably T-shirt and shorts along with non-marking tennis
shoes on the court. Players wearing grooved or marking shoes will
be asked to leave the court. For hygienic reasons the club does
not provide athletic wear on hire. As a matter of custom and etiquette,
removal of t-shirt/upper is not permitted on the court.
13. Etiquette and Behaviour
A. The club is a non-smoking area.
B. Food and beverage items are not allowed in The
Club. Food or Beverages brought from outside the hotel are not permitted
for consumption in The Club and pool premises. However the above
can be bought and consumed at the pool-bar only.
C. Pets, attendants, bearers, drivers, servants
or associates are not permitted in The Club, tennis courts and pool
premises.
D. Spitting is absolutely forbidden in The Club,
pool, tennis courts and in the hotel.
E. Members are requested to respect the rights
of other users, and refrain from shouting, foul language and boisterous
behaviour.
F. Changing of clothes only allowed in the locker/changing
rooms. Members may be denied access to the pool area if improperly
dressed, street clothes and shoes are unacceptable at the poolside.
G. Floatation devices for children are permissible
in the pool, but only of such size at to accommodation one individual
child. Inflatable rafts and boats and other multipurpose devices
are not permitted in or around the pool.
14. Safety
Children below 12 years will be admitted to the pool only if accompanied
by parents or an adult guardian in proper swim wear.
All appointments for massage, tennis courts and fitness assessment
are made at The Club reception.
As a courtesy to other members and guests reservation for tennis
courts can be made up to two days ahead and for not more than one
hour per day only.

Club Manager.
